The Nordictrack X7i incline trainer treadmill brings a lot of incline adjustment to the table along with some preset workouts and a 7” touchscreen display; however, the quality of the machine is sub-par.

The drive system was noisy offering a major distraction during workouts and the cushioning system was ineffective at high inclines. The incline motor was slow and noisy making streamlined incline adjustments difficult. The treadmill did provide a decent amount of speed, but, the somewhat short treadbelt made the steeper inclines difficult to maintain. The ifit live functionality and integration with Google maps was a seemingly fun feature, but the required pre-route calculation, poor integration, and slow interface made this option less fulfilling.

The X7i Black Edition and standard X7i treadmills are identical as far as components and construction go; the differences are purely cosmetic.

Overall the X7i incline trainer from Nordictrack would offer a decent workout for any user looking for a very steep incline option and a limited decline option. The rest of the options are pretty basic and the overall quality of the treadmill is pretty low. Also, for this price tag a 1year parts and labor warranty is very poor. Consider some other manufacturers, as for $2,999 there are a multitude of other treadmills that offers superior quality at a lower price.
