The Weslo CrossWalk 5.0t appears to offer great value for price on the surface, but keep in mind this is still an entry level treadmill and expenses were spared on construction to keep the price so low.

The Weslo CrossWalk 5.0t is one of Weslo’s cheapest motor-driven treadmills. This machine has 4 preset workouts, a 2.25HP motor, some basic cushioning, and an LCD display. This is pretty standard fare for any treadmill out there today; however, what the 5.0t lacks is solid construction quality. At first the look may appear durable as the plastic cladding is quite robust, but take a underneath the machine or behind the plastics and you will find an extremely flimsy frame. The 5.0t is very unstable at any speed, and the changing between incline positions is a very big hassle. The treadbelt is very small, making the walking surface pretty useless for any user with a slightly wider than average stride.

Overall we recommend staying clear of the Weslo CrossWalk 5.0t. This machine has a nice look to it, but tear away the cosmetics and you will find a very low quality machine underneath. Consider investing that $299 into a gym membership or saving for a higher quality machine.
