H500i by Health Rider

The Health Rider Pro H500i is a basic, entry level treadmill. Priced at around $699 (varies from site to site), the H500i is a good value.  The H500i is most well known for it's Interactive Cross Training Workout programs.

Health Rider H500i Specifications:

  • 1.75 CHP motor
  • 0-10 mph max speed
  • 0-10% Incline
  • 19" x 50" tread belt
  • 6 workout programs
  • Dual-grip BioLogic heart rate monitor
  • 300 lbs. max. user weight
  • Cooling fan
  • 2 lb hand weights included
  • Softtrack cushioning
  • Warranty: 10 years motor; 1 year parts and labor

The Health Rider Pro H500i features a relatively small running surface.  This running surface is adequate for most smaller walkers, but for a larger person, the running surface will likely prove to be uconfortable.  The 1.75HP drive motor of this treadmill is sufficient for walking, but may struggle during any type of running.

Overall, this non-folding treadmill is a good entry level product, for the smaller, casual walker.  The unit seems to be of good quality, but the warranty leaves a lot to be desired.

Overall, this treadmill is on OK deal for the money. The H500i is available on multiple sites, including WalMart. the H500i Treadmill includes some interesting features, but the quality of the running surface leaves something to be desired. The drive motor of this treadmill is underpowered for any sort of running, but is OK for walking, and provides smooth quiet operation. For an entry level, walking treadmill, this unit is up to the task, but for someone looking for a little more quality, and the ability to run, this unit may not be a good fit.
