The T240S treadmill from Bodyguard is a mid-level machine designed to offer users a simplistic yet long-lasting design. The Bodyguard is well decently well and uses mid-range components. The feature set on the T240S is pretty basic as it is the least expensive Bodyguard treadmill in the lineup. Despite the limited features, the treadmill does operate as expected. The 2.75HP provides sufficient power; however, we feel heavier users may put a strain on it. The treadmill is a nice size and users seemed to enjoy the overall operation of the machine.

In the end the T240s is a solid treadmill; however, for the over $2,000 price tag this machine is a bit lacking in the feature realm. We would like see more preset programs as the basic 5 programs feels a bit limited. Also, while the warranty is great on this machine, we feel the overall “bang for your buck” is not very good. If feature sets and preset workouts are not a big concern of your then this machine will last you quite a while; however, if you are looking for just a little more out of your treadmill purchase consider a different manufacturer that offers beefier feature sets.

While the T240P is just one step up from Bodyguard’s least expensive residential treadmill, this is a decent treadmill. Offering some of Bodyguards newest technologies this unit offers solid value for your money. We found the heart rate monitor system was not very accurate; however, we really like the 4way deck feature.

The T240P is a nice unit and it represents a great compromise of price for performance within the Bodyguard lineup. Still we would say the price is a bit high. Yes, the warranty is great, but beyond the warranty this treadmill is fairly mediocre in its feature set when you look at the price tag. We would recommend this unit but consider other brands such as Smooth Fitness or Sole before making your final choice.

The T240C treadmill from Bodyguard does lack a bit of the quality found on the more expensive T280 series units, but still the T240 lineup has a lot to offer to the more space conscious user. With a slightly smaller tread belt and overall footprint, this unit blends high quality construction and form factor together very well. We were surprised to see such a nice console and program set on a machine from Bodyguard at this price. This really impressed us.

Still the T240C has some issues. The motor was a little underpowered and we felt the unit did not offer as comfortable a workout as some other units that cost less. Still, the display was very nice and the control layout was clean. Users complained the cushioning system had a little too much “give” and may have impaired proper stride movement; however, this complaint was varied. Some users loved the cushioning system. Overall the T240C is a nice offering by Bodyguard. If you can look past a few of its minor issues and space is a big priority for you, this is a great mid to high level residential treadmill option.

The T280S is built with the same quality as the higher end Bodyguard units however it has many of the features stripped away. There is a big step down to only 5 preset programs, less cushioning, but it does add 2” to the tread belt width. This treadmill is built very well and operates smoothly. The motor offers plenty of power and the console is simple to use.

If you are the type of user who wants a high end machine without bells and whistles then this unit is a great option for you. However, we like to see companies that offer large feature sets that are also easy to use. It seems a bit odd to sacrifice features simply to make the unit easier to operate. Still, there is a quality unit but keep in mind you may not get great value out of this purchase.

The T280P Treadmill from body guard is a solid offering. It comes standard with a digital contact heart rate monitor and adjustable pivoting feet. This machine offers the same basic design as the T280C with minor changes. The price point is significantly lower than the T280C but the cushioning system on this machine is not nearly as good. We found this machine to be a bit uncomfortable and had more noise than we would have liked to see at this price point.

Still, the T280P is a solid machine, but again you can get a similar level of quality and the same experience for much less from other manufacturers. We highly recommend the T280 lineup from Bodyguard if you are set on buying a high-end residential treadmill, but you may find the same things you want in less expensive units.

The T280C from Bodyguard is a well-rounded treadmill unit that offers high end features. This unit is very similar to the T460XC. It has a slightly smaller tread belt, three less programs, and a handful of other slight variations. Despite these minor differences the T280C felt every built as nice as the T460XC. In some ways, we felt the T280C would be the more fiscally sound option. While it is missing a few features, the overall value is better. The increase in cost up to the T460XC is simply not worth the minor additions.

Still, despite the better value offering by this machine, outside of the Bodyguard brand you can find treadmill units that offer the same high quality workout for much less. You may not even sacrifice any features.

The Bodyguard T460XC treadmill is a very well built machine that offers the best of the Bodyguard name. Coming as the top of line treadmill designed for residential use by Bodyguard fitness, this machine does pack a punch. Fully equipped with 15 preset programs, adjustable incline, large tread belt, powerful 3.4hp motor, and digital heart rate contact points this unit is very robust.

We did really enjoy the workout experience this machine offers. The only things that bothered us were the bit of noise the motor and belt made. Additionally, we would have liked just a few more preset programs at this price point. Beyond this we felt this machine did a great job and does excel as a top of the line residential machine. Our only concern was the price. While this machine does everything it says, for $4,499.00 there are other units that provide the same rich experience at a much lower price.

The M150 Treadmill from TruPace is the top end model currently being offered by TruPace Fitness at 1800treadmill.com. This unit is surprisingly well built and seems like it would hold up for plenty of years to come. The cushioning system is very well balanced and did not impede the workout experience. In fact users suggested they had less joint pain after working out on this machine. The motor is quiet, the tread-belt is a good size, and the sound system makes for a nice addition to any workout.

The warranty on this machine rivals what many manufacturers are offering in the $1,000 and up price range and this machine has nearly the same feature set. The 14 preset programs were simple and sweet offering just the right amount of variation across them all. We would recommend this machine to anyone looking for a machine that is still sub $1,000 but will likely be used by more than a few different individuals. This machine is well built and should handle a good bit of abuse. For $899, the M150 from TruPace Fitness is certainly worth it.

The M120 Treadmill from TruPace is a robust piece of fitness equipment that offers a multitude of useful features. Overall this machine really blew us away. With a nice 20” x 55” running surface, great sound system, and huge weight capacity, we could not believe the price tag. The machine is very stable, quiet, and the feature set is actually perfectly suited for the machine. The 14 programs are varied and the incline options are great.

Overall this machine is just great. It may not be the best treadmill out there, but for $699 this treadmill offers more features, better construction, and a better warranty, than other manufacturers at this price point. We recommend the M120 treadmill from TruPace to anyone looking for a great treadmill sub $1,000.

The TruPace M100 treadmill delivers a great workout experience at the entry level price of $499. Featuring 13 workout programs, folding design, and quick change buttons, this treadmill really gets the job done. The M100 is quiet and sturdy. Overall the workout experience is very comfortable and the running surface offers enough space for the average users. Folding this treadmill away is easy enough and the space savings that result are significant. Additionally the LCD screen is vibrant and the cushioning system was basic but got the job done.

You really cannot beat the value offered here for just $499. These machines can be ordered online at 1800treadmill.com and will be shipped directly to you. You really get a lot for you money with the TruPace M100. As far as $500 treadmills go, this is the best we have seen.

The TT8 Sole treadmill attempts to be a “commercial grade” machine at half the price but really this machine is nowhere near commercial grade quality. That is not to say this machine is not a nice treadmill, but it has an identical feature set when compared to the F77 or F85 sole treadmills which are less expensive. This machine is not worth the extra cost as it performs just the same as the latter units.

A noisy engine, basic frame design, and mediocre feature set when compared to other $2,999 treadmills make the TT8 not worth a second look. We’d recommend looking into Smooth Fitness, Life Fitness, or True Fitness for better options.

The F85 treadmill from Sole is a very large folding treadmill that offers a lot of nice features. The motor is powerful enough and the running surface is very large. Also the huge weight limit ensures this machine will hold up to a lot of abuse. Once again, Sole offers a solid core construction but at $2,499.99 one would expect to get some added features as well. We still see the 6 standard programs, and poorly placed LCD screen. Granted the huge running surface and weight capacity are supposed to add construction quality and not gimmicky features, which we can appreciate, but every runner or walker wants a nice feature set and solid construction quality, you won’t find much of that in Sole’s more expensive machines.

Price aside, the F85 from Sole is a nice treadmill. It has the power, belt size, and durability for a non-folding machine wrapped in a folding design. This is an amazing feat but we would recommend going with a less expensive folding or even non-folding machine from Sole as the F85 adds very little over other machines in the Sole lineup other than being a massive treadmill that folds.

The F77 treadmill from Sole is a basic mid-level non-folding machine. Here at Treadmill-reviews we always talk about how important core-construction is with a treadmill and that features are secondary. This is true to a point. Sole offers the F77 with six standard programs, a 3.5HP motor, and 22” running surface. Apart from about .5HP and 2” on the running surface this machine has the same exact features as much less expensive Sole treadmills. We would like to see some new technology or extra features at this price point because even the construction quality is not changing much across the entire non-folding lineup from Sole.

Apart from the lack of features, the F77 is well built. The deck seems sturdy even though the cushioning did bottom out with heavier users. The motor was not too noisy, but it was still loud enough to be a potential workout distraction. The running surface was large and seemed durable enough.

The F77 treadmill from Sole is a decent offering despite the lack of features. Consider that for the same price you can get a Smooth Fitness machine with double or triple the feature set and the same if not better quality construction.

The F73 non-folding treadmill from Sole Fitness is a solid mid-level treadmill that brings a basic set of features to the table and decent overall quality. We were happy to see that this treadmill is built well. The deck felt solid and stable; however, the cushioning technology would bottom out. Also, the motor on this machine is a bit quieter as compared to many of Sole’s non-folding units, but we found the motor was slightly underpowered for the robust nature of this non-folding unit.

The six standard programs were pretty much identical to other Sole units but the LCD screen has a nice scrolling feature that displayed all sorts of workout data. The screen was a bit hard to view at certain angles, but overall it was a nice addition.

The Sole F73 treadmill is a well-built entry-level non-folding treadmill. While it takes many of its features right off other Sole units, the overall feeling is that this machine will get the job done. Still, we would like to see more progression out of Sole as across the lineup as currently there is little difference between treadmill feature sets and technology.

The Sole
The F83 Sole treadmill may not be worth the extra cost over the F80 model. This machine has all the same features as the F80 minus a slightly larger display, .25hp, and a lighter flywheel. Despite the lighter flywheel and higher horsepower motor the F83 was slightly less noisy than the F80 but still loud enough to be distracted. Whether the larger display is worth the added cost comes down to personal preference and overall the display worked well. Other than these changes the machine operated just like the F80. It felt stable and got the job done for the most part.

Overall for the $2,299 price tag the Sole F83 may not be worth what features are added over the F80. The belt size, preset workouts, monitoring features, speed adjustment, and incline adjustment are all the same. Paying $200 more for .25hp and a larger LCD may not be worth it to many people. Still, the F83 is a decent machine and will get the job done for users who want these added features.

The F80 treadmill from Sole is a nice offering, but still has a few mediocre qualities. The drive system was very powerful; however, this power came at the price of drive system noise. The 350lb weight capacity is great and means this machine will hold to almost any user. The 20 x 60 is a nice size and about what can be expected in this price bracket. The folding design works nicely but may be a bit heavy to operate for the average user.

Overall the F80 is a decent machine and for this price it would make a solid piece of home fitness equipment. Also, consider the warranty and this machine should last a while. Keep in mind other manufacturers have similar if not better offerings. Consider checking out Smooth Fitness in this price range or the offerings from Precor, Life Fitness, and True Fitness.

The F65 treadmill from Sole offers a number of nice low to mid-range features. The six preset workouts are nice and challenging but we would have liked to have seen a few more options at this price point. The 12HP motor had plenty of power, but it was a bit noisy at times. The incline feature worked nicely. The running surface was large enough for the average user. The cushioning system was well integrated but for heavier users it seemed to bottom out quickly.

Overall the F65 treadmill from Sole is a decent machine for the money. Keep in mind Sole is now known for incredible customer service and the warranty on this machine is a bit lacking when compared to other manufacturers in the same price range. With that said, the F65 is a solid machine from the money.

The F63 treadmill from Sole is a decent entry level offering. This treadmill has a slightly underpowered motor but retains a fairly solid construction overall. The six preset workouts varied nicely despite being a bit sparse on challenge. The weight capacity is very high for a machine at this price; however, the running surface area is a bit on the small side.

Overall the F63 is a middle of the road entry level treadmill. The warranty is ok and the features are there and it will get the job done. If you want something with more features and a better warranty look into Smooth Fitness, Life Fitness, or True Fitness.

The Weslo CrossWalk S 7.9 is an attempt at a feature rich treadmill for under $500 by Weslo. This machine offers a powered incline option, a larger treadbelt than other Weslo machines, and a slightly better motor warranty. Still, this machine falls short in the area of quality core construction. The rails are flimsy, the console is poorly lit, and the preset workouts offer little added bonus to any workout. Also the 2.5 is overrated and underpowered.

We’d recommend staying away from the CrossWalk S 7.9. As with most Icon and Weslo products this machine boasts a great sounding feature set for the price, but lacks the all-important quality and usability features found in other brands such as Smooth Fitness, Life Fitness, or Precor.

The Weslo Cadence G 5.9 is another slight variation on the other $299 Weslo treadmills. This machine has the same over-rated, underpowered 2.25HP motor and an extremely flimsy rail design. The platform and running surface on this machine are very weak and the treadbelt was quite slick. The warranty on this machine is only a 1year motor 90 days parts/labor which is very poor compared to most treadmill manufacturers. The Cadence G 5.9 is a very low end machine and should not be considered if you plan to run on your treadmill, this machine will only hold up to light use and walking.

Consider that spending $299 on a treadmill will usually result in a disappointing experience. When it comes to fitness and working out, it is very important to have a machine that gets the job done reliability and comfortably, the Cadence G 5.9 will do neither of these. Therefore, we do not recommend this treadmill.

The Weslo Cadence G-40 treadmill has a sturdier frame than most $299 Weslo machines but it still has the problems of an underpowered motor, small treadbelt, low weight capacity, and very poor warranty. This machine has a very noisy drive system as well. Also, the 4 preset workouts were mediocre at best offering mild speed variations.

Overall, if you had to choose a Weslo machine for $299, we would say pick this one. Keep in mind this is still a very poor treadmill overall and we would never recommend it outright. If you are not set on spending under $299 on a treadmill consider saving up for a Smooth Fitness or Life Fitness machine to get a much higher quality treadmill and much better value for money.

Other than the apparent poor construction quality, the Weslo Cadence 60 CT is one of the flimsiest treadmills we have ever reviewed. This machine is very unstable. In addition to this drawback, the weak 2.25HP motor is actually overrated and probably operates at somewhere around 1HP to 1.5HP during continuous movement. The speed control panel hardly worked and was finicky. The 3 preset workouts were just speed variations and added little to the workouts.

Overall, stay away from the Cadence 60 CT treadmill from Weslo. The machine does have streamlined looking design but that’s about it. The flimsy rails, poor console, and weak motor render this treadmill more of a hassle than it is worth.

The Weslo CrossWalk 5.0t is one of Weslo’s cheapest motor-driven treadmills. This machine has 4 preset workouts, a 2.25HP motor, some basic cushioning, and an LCD display. This is pretty standard fare for any treadmill out there today; however, what the 5.0t lacks is solid construction quality. At first the look may appear durable as the plastic cladding is quite robust, but take a underneath the machine or behind the plastics and you will find an extremely flimsy frame. The 5.0t is very unstable at any speed, and the changing between incline positions is a very big hassle. The treadbelt is very small, making the walking surface pretty useless for any user with a slightly wider than average stride.

Overall we recommend staying clear of the Weslo CrossWalk 5.0t. This machine has a nice look to it, but tear away the cosmetics and you will find a very low quality machine underneath. Consider investing that $299 into a gym membership or saving for a higher quality machine.

The Weslo Cardio Stride 2.0 is an entry level manual walking treadmill and by today’s standards is hardly a treadmill at all. Yes, it has all the makings of a treadmill but really this machine lacks so much usability that chances are the device will become a $129 dust collector in a spare room. Weslo is a shoot-off of Icon health and fitness who own a number of treadmill manufactuers such as Nordictrack, Proform, and HealthRider. Icon develops a range of treadmills within these product lines and Weslo is on the bottom of the list when it comes to price, quality, and technology.

The Cardio Stride 2.0 is a manual walking treadmill that accommodates extremely light use. Built with low quality hardware, a weak frame, and unstable platform, the Cardio Stride 2.0 is hardly a treadmill at all. Consider investing that $129 in a gym membership or saving for a better treadmill and this machine is simply not worth it.

On the surface the Pro CrossWalk 7.8 treadmill from Weslo seems like a bargain for the feature set when stacked up next to treadmills in the $1000-$1999 price range; however, this machine does not stack up when it comes to real world functionality. The Pro CrossWalk 7.8 is built with extremely low quality plastics that seem very brittle. The drive system is noisy and this machine is just barley capable of the suggested top speed. The incline feature is painfully slow and also quite noisy. The machine does have a cushioning system, but it is very sub-par offering the tiniest of shock absorption between strides.

Overall the Weslo Pro CrossWalk 7.8 treadmill is a poor investment for any consumer looking to purchase a decent, functional, and durable treadmill. Save you cash and consider investing into a Smooth Fitness or Life Fitness treadmill for a much higher level of quality, comfort, and design.
